A harmincas éveiben járó pár, Cristina és Tudor boldog házasságban él. Egy román városban laknak kényelmes otthonukban két gyerekükkel, Mariával és Iliével. Életük átlagos és elégedett: Tudor bankban dolgozik, Cristina könyvelő. Egy vasárnap reggel Tudor lemegy a közeli parkba a gyerekekkel, míg Cristina otthon marad takarítani. Cristina and Tudor are a happily married couple. They have two young children, Maria and Ilie. They are in their thirties, and live in a Romanian city, in a nice apartment. He works at a bank, she is an accountant. Their life is the ordinary life of a couple  with kids. One Sunday morning, while Tudor is with the children in the park near their apartment and Cristina is doing some cleaning in the apartment, 5-year-old Maria goes missing. This tragic event instantly changes the life of the family.
