Jenna és Joni, a Helsinkiben élő ikerpár megtudja, hogy van egy izlandi mostohatestvérük, Jóna. Megismerkedésüket követően a három testvér élete elkezd összefonódni. A Testvérek című játékfilmet nyolc éven keresztül, kis stábbal forgatták. A történet tényszerű utalásokat tartalmaz és a színészek életének egyes eseményeit is felhasználja, így az alkotás a dokumentumfilm és a fikció sajátos kombinációjának tekinthető.

Jenna and Joni, twins living in Helsinki, find out that they have a stepsister, Jóna, in Iceland. They get to know her, and gradually the lives of the siblings start shaping each other. The three siblings try to figure out their individual and intersecting life paths while sharing two home countries and one father. When the years pass, the siblings must face themselves but also each other and all that connects them but also what makes them different. 

Siblings is a feature film shot over the course of eight years with a minimal crew. The story uses factual references as well as the events in the actors’ lives, thus creating a unique combination of documentary-style fiction.
