A BUDAPESTI TÁVMOZIRÓL
A Budapest Film Zrt. a koronavírus járvány miatt 2020. április 21-én indította el online moziplatformját, a Budapesti Távmozit. A www.film.artmozi.hu oldalon a Művész, Puskin, Toldi, Tabán, Kino Cafe filmszínházak napi műsorrendben vetítenek artfilmeket. Az előadásokra online válthatók kedvezményes jegyek. A virtuális gépházakban ugyanazok a mozigépészek dolgoznak, mint rendesen, és az online nézőterek bejáratánál is ugyanazok a jegyszedők várják a nézőket, akikkel a kedvenc mozijukban máskor is találkozni szoktak.
A Távmoziegy pay-per-wiew élő streaming szolgáltatás, mely a nézők otthonában nyújtja az igazi mozizás élményét. A Távmozi nézői az előadást nem tudják letölteni, rögzíteni, illetve a mozizáshoz hasonlóan az előadást nem tudják sem visszatekerni, sem megállítani. A jegy egy meghatározott időpontra szól, így a mozizás közösségi
élménnyé is válik: a nézők a virtuális előcsarnokban találkozhatnak, chataelhetnek, akár csak az igazi mozik előcsarnokában. A Távmozi előadásokat HD minőségben vetítjük, DRM másolásvédelemmel vannak ellátva, illetve csak Magyarország területéről érhetőek el.
A valósidejű moziközvetítés idén kifejlesztett rendszere újdonságnak számít, ám a távmozi fogalma már csaknem száz éves. 1928-ban ugyanis éppen ezen a néven mutatkozott be Mihály Dénes és Okolicsányi Ferenc távolbalátó készüléke, melyet akkor a jövő mozijaként emlegettek.

Budapest Film Zrt. due to the coronavirus epidemic on April 21, 2020 launched its online cinema platform, Budapest Remote Cinema. On the website www.film.artmozi.hu the Művész, Puskin, Toldi, Tabán and the Kino Cafe movie theaters screen art movies on a daily basis. Tickets for the screenings can be redeemed online. In the virtual machine houses the same cinematographers work, as usual, and the same ushers wait for the viewers at the entrance of the virtual auditoriums, just as if they were at their favourite cinema.
Remote Cinema is a pay-per-view live streaming platform, specifically designed to fill in for real cinema experiences. Unlike usual video-on-demand customers, Remote Cinema’s online viewers can’t save or download, rewind or pause the show. They purchase their tickets for a particular time and date, and watch the film as a community: interconnected in the virtual lobby just as much as they would be meeting fellow cinephiles in an actual film theatre. Remote Cinema shows are in HD format, DRM copy protected, and geoblocked to selected territories.
The real-time screening that was developed this year can strike as something new, however the concept of the ‘remote’ cinema has been around for almost a 100 years. It was the name of Dénes Mihály and Ferenc Okolicsányi’s machine that could capture motion and project it to a place far away from its origin. Even though it was never realised in its physical form, it was called as the ‘cinema of the future’.
