A 64 éves Jiri Kylian nemzedéke egyik legkiválóbb koreográfusa, több mint 100 darab fűződik a nevéhez, ezek közül jó néhány repertoáron van a világ legismertebb táncközpontjaiban, operáiban. Hiába a nemzetközi hírnév, mindeddig nem készült életét és munkásságát feldolgozó dokumentumfilm. Ehhez persze az is kell, hogy valaki annyira visszahúzódó legyen, mint Kylian…De most az egyszer a kamerák elé állt.

At 63 years of age, Jiri Kylian is one of the most important choreographers of his generation. He is the creator of more than one hundred works, several of which form part of the repertories of some of the greatest dance centres throughout the world. In spite of his international fame, to this day there has never been a documentary dedicated to Kylian. This isn’t a mere coincidence, but is due to the choreographer’s extreme reluctance to engage in such an exercise. The fact that he has accepted to participate in a documentary is therefore exceptional.

Különleges dokumentumfilm az indiai zene legendás nagykövetéről, a leghíresebb indiai szitárjátékosról, Ravi Shankarról, aki a múlt század ötvenes éveitől hihetetlen energiával, invencióval és kitartással népszerűsítette az indiai zenét szerte a világon. A filmben nemcsak részleteket láthatunk utolsó, párizsi fellépéséről, hanem tanúi lehetünk annak is, hogyan , hogyan tanította, képezte szitárjátékossá lányát Anoushkát.

This rare documentary revisits the life and the art of Ravi Shankar, the most famous Indian sitar virtuoso and first ambassador of Indian music. From 1956 he popularized Indian music in the Western world. The film shows Ravi transmitting his art to his daughter Anoushka. He gave his last European concert in Paris, at the Salle Pleyel, and the only public lesson on his art he ever held, a moment of great emotion. This documentary which mixes scenes of musical performances, teaching and sound recording, is a sort of farewell by and to the artist.

Wayne McGregor never looks behind. The British choreographer multiplies experiences that are sources of infinite experimentation and improvement. Illustrated by fantastic and even extreme clips, this documentary makes us discover this passionate artist and contagious creativity. Dancers from his company are his research material, but during a workshop led by a doctor in neurology they turn out to be researchers themselves.

Három koreográfia Ravel és Debussy zenekari műveire. Ravel zenéjére (Lúdanyó meséi) a több mint hatvan szereplő, táncos  segítségével megelevenednek az erdő fái, …A természet költészete, mesék, tündérek, szörnyek.

A Kazahsztánban, a sivatagban, ahonnan már visszahúzódott az Aral tó, forgatta hihetetlen fényviszonyok és homokvihar közepette de Mey az  Egy faun délutánját Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker koreográfiájára, felidézve Nizsinszkij-féle ős-változatot. Ravel La valse-ára pedig Thomas Hauert és társai improvizáltak a brüsszeli háztetőkön.

Three choreography devised from orchestral works of Ravel and Debussy. Mother Goose (Ravel) brings together over sixty dancers and choreographers in a forest. Poetry of nature, wild impulses of the body, evocations of myths, fairies and witches. Prelude to An Afternoon of a Faun by Debussy, choreographed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, is filmed in Kazakhstan, in the desert left by the Aral Sea disappeared. An evocation of the first ballet choreographed by Nijinsky, with a wind of sand and incredible light. Ravel's La valse  is like a tornado dizzying: a flock of birds form random waves on the roofs of the tallest buildings in Brussels. An improvisation group led by choreographer Thomas Hauert.
